Data help

Your data, your controls.

How to export and delete your local Swaya data, and what local-first means in practice.

What local-first means

Swaya is local-first. Most of your data — plans, tasks, check-ins, and recovery context — is stored on your device rather than on our servers. You stay in control of it.

Export your data

Swaya includes an export option. From within the app, open your settings and choose to export your data. This creates a copy of your local Swaya data that you can keep.

Import or restore data

You can import or restore previously exported data from within the app. Restoring is confirmation-gated — Swaya asks you to confirm before it replaces or merges existing data, so nothing changes by accident.

Delete local data

You can delete your local Swaya data from within the app. Deleting is confirmation-gated and cannot be undone once confirmed, so consider exporting a copy first if you may want it later.

Cloud and account data

Cloud backup and accounts are not active unless you explicitly enable them. Cloud or account deletion only applies once those features are actually enabled. Until then, your data stays on your device.
