How Swaya handles your data. Swaya is built local-first, and this policy explains what stays on your device and what is sent to a server.

Last updated June 2026

Local-first by design

Swaya is local-first. Most of your app data — plans, tasks, check-ins, and recovery context — is stored on your device, not on our servers.

Vaani and server requests

Vaani is Swaya's assistant. When you use Vaani, your request may be sent to a Swaya server so that an AI response can be generated and returned to you. These requests are used to produce the response you asked for.

Vaani suggests, explains, and drafts. It does not act on its own. You confirm any change before it is applied.

Keys and credentials

API keys used to generate Vaani responses are not stored on your device.

Cloud backup and accounts

Swaya may use server routes for Vaani and for future cloud backup or account features.

Cloud backup and sync are not active unless you explicitly enable them. Where a feature is not enabled, no data for that feature is stored on our servers.

Exporting and deleting your data

You can export your local Swaya data and delete your local Swaya data from within the app. Deleting local data is confirmation-gated so it does not happen by accident.

See Data help for step-by-step instructions. Cloud or account deletion only applies once those features are actually enabled.

Health and recovery information

Some signals — such as sleep, energy, stress, and recovery — can be used as planning context to help estimate capacity. This information is used for planning only.

Swaya is not medical advice, therapy, diagnosis, or emergency support, and it does not replace professional guidance.
