Questions about Swaya

Including the awkward ones. Where an answer is not yet confirmed, it says so rather than hedging.

What it is

Is this a to-do list with extra steps?
No. Tasks are one input. The layer underneath is capacity: time, energy, recovery and the commitments already fixed in your day. A to-do list tells you what you meant to do. Swaya works out whether today can hold it.
What does capacity actually mean here?
The usable bandwidth in a given day, estimated from what you have told the app and what it can observe — sleep, energy, stress, and the time already committed. It is a figure that moves rather than a constant, which is the whole point.
What does repairing a plan actually do?
When demand runs past what the day can hold, Swaya offers routes through it: shrink a task to its smallest useful version, move it, defer it, or rebuild the day around what remains. You choose, and it applies your choice. {{TODO: Confirm the exact repair options offered. — CONTENT-TODO #16}}
Which of the three modes should I pick?
Just today if you want to open it, see today and close it. Plan my week if you want structure without configuring anything. Tune everything if you actively enjoy control. You can change later, and you can set the depth differently for different areas of your life.

Control and tone

Will it change my plan without asking?
No. Swaya can propose a change and show you what it would do. Nothing reaches your plan until you put it there.
Is there an assistant in it?
There is help, but not a character. Any card can explain why it is showing you what it is showing you, answered about that specific thing. Separately there is a longer conversation you can open when you want one. Nothing follows you around the screen or interrupts you.
Will it judge me for missing things?
No. There are no streaks to break, no guilt mechanics, and no verdicts about you as a person. Swaya records what a day held, not whether you were good. {{TODO: Confirm the exact non-goals list to state publicly. — CONTENT-TODO #13}}
If I turn a feature off, do I lose the data behind it?
No. Hiding is not deleting. What you switch off leaves your view and stays recoverable, and nothing is destroyed as a side effect of tidying your screen.

Health signals

Is any of this medical advice?
No. Sleep, energy and stress are used as planning context to estimate what a day can hold. Swaya does not diagnose or treat anything, does not replace professional guidance, and is not emergency support.
How do I know whether a number is measured or guessed?
Every figure carries a badge showing where it came from — entered by you, observed, or worked out. Facts, patterns and predictions are also kept visually and verbally distinct, so a prediction never arrives wearing the confidence of a measurement.
Does it connect to Apple Health or a watch?
{{TODO: Does Swaya read from Apple Health, a wearable, or anything else, and is that opt-in? — CONTENT-TODO #14}}

Your data, and what happens later

Where does my data live?
On your device. Plans, tasks, check-ins and recovery context are stored locally rather than on a server, and cloud backup and sync stay off unless you turn them on.
Can I export everything, and delete everything?
Both, from inside the app. Deleting is confirmation-gated so it cannot happen by accident, and exporting first is worth doing if there is any chance you want it later. {{TODO: Confirm the export format so this answer can name it. — CONTENT-TODO #14}}
What happens if Anahadh stops building Swaya?
Your data is already on your device rather than on a server, so it would not be stranded by a shutdown, and export works from inside the app. That is a better position than most planners leave you in, and it is deliberate.
Does it work offline?
{{TODO: Which parts of Swaya work offline, and which need a connection? Explanation and the longer conversation are the likely exceptions. — CONTENT-TODO #14}}

Deciding whether to bother

I already use a planner I like. Why switch?
If your days are broadly alike and your planner is working, do not. The specific case for Swaya is days that vary a lot, and the moment a plan breaks. If neither of those is your problem, this is more machinery than you need.
Which devices does it run on?
{{TODO: Which platforms does Swaya run on today — iPhone, iPad, web? — CONTENT-TODO #19}}
How do I get into the beta?
{{TODO: Is the beta open, waitlisted, or closed right now, and what is the actual route in? — CONTENT-TODO #5}}
